Overview
The Electorate of Salzburg, also known as the Grand Duchy of Salzburg, was an electoral principality within the Holy Roman Empire. Founded on January 1, 1803, it served as a short-lived successor state to the Prince-Archbishopric of Salzburg. This Central European electorate existed for a brief period, dissolving on January 1, 1805.
