Overview
The Fifteenth Dynasty was a foreign dynasty of ancient Egypt, founded around 1650 BCE by Salitis, a Hyksos from West Asia. The Hyksos people had invaded the country and conquered Lower Egypt. This dynasty, along with the 16th and 17th Dynasties, is often grouped under the title Second Intermediate Period. The Fifteenth Dynasty dissolved around 1550 BCE.
