Overview
The Beylik of Dulkadir was a former country and one of the Turkish Anatolian beyliks, or principalities. It was established by the Oghuz Turk clans Bayat, Afshar, and Begdili following the decline of the Seljuk Sultanate of Rûm. Founded in 1337 CE, the Beylik of Dulkadir existed until its dissolution in 1522 CE. Its capitals included Elbistan and Marash.
