Overview
The Łęczyca Voivodeship, also known as the Duchy of Łęczyca, was an administrative and local government unit in Poland from the 14th century until its dissolution in 1793. It was part of the Greater Poland Province, with its capital located in Łęczyca, where local sejmiks were held. The voivodeship covered an area of 4,080 square kilometers, divided into three counties. The city of Łódź was historically part of the Łęczyca Voivodeship for centuries.
