Overview
The Duchy of Athens was a Crusader state established in Greece in 1205 following the Fourth Crusade and the conquest of the Byzantine Empire. Encompassing the regions of Attica and Boeotia, it was part of the period known as Frankokratia. The duchy existed until its conquest by the Ottoman Empire in the 15th century, dissolving in 1458.
