Overview
The Duchy of Głogów, also known as the Duchy of Glogau, was a historical Piast principality and one of the Duchies of Silesia. Formed during the medieval fragmentation of Poland, it was ruled by the Silesian Piasts, and later by John Corvinus and the Jagiellonian dynasty. Its capital was Głogów in Lower Silesia. The duchy existed in two periods: 1177–1185 and 1251–1506, before its dissolution in 1815.
