Overview
The Duchy of Jawor was a Silesian duchy and one of the medieval Polish duchies, established in 1274 as a subdivision of the Duchy of Legnica. Ruled by the Silesian Piasts, its capital was Jawor in Lower Silesia. It was the southwesternmost duchy of Poland for much of its existence, bordering other Polish duchies such as Głogów, Legnica, Wrocław, and Świdnica. The duchy was dissolved in 1392.
