Overview
The Grand Duchy of Berg, also known as the Grand Duchy of Berg and Cleves, was a territorial grand duchy established on January 1, 1806. It was founded by Napoleon following his victory at the Battle of Austerlitz in 1805. The duchy was situated on territories located between the French Empire at the Rhine River and the German Kingdom of Westphalia. It existed until its dissolution on January 1, 1813.
